A great school like ours doesn't just happen. It's built a brick at a time, programme by programme, student by student. And RI cannot continue to deliver on its promise and mission on academic staff and administrators alone - it's built on the support of its alumni.

Think about your years at RI. The fun you had, the enduring friendships you forged, the obstacles you overcame. We trust that your memories are fond ones, and we encourage you to help current and future students have similar experiences they will recollect for years to come.

The Alumni Relations team welcomes the involvement of volunteers in leadership and supporting roles in the running of alumni groups; in the organising of class reunions; and as mentors to current students in our mentorship programmes or to share about your profession.

In giving back, you are influencing the future by providing personal resources to students who are struggling financially or academically. There are many ways to give your time through committees, the 1823 Fund, and participation in alumni events. Or, you may want to ALSO:

• Ask your employer to donate to the school or provide sponsorships and door prizes for alumni events.
• Provide a Job Shadowing or Internship experience for a current student.
• Support and complement the school’s fundraising efforts.
• Keep the alumni office updated on your contact information.
• Attend school organized events and tell all your classmates about it.
• Visit the Bishan campus and say hello to a former teacher.
• Financially support the 1823 Fund.
• Start and plan a class reunion event if one doesn’t exist.
• Suggest to your friends that they financially support 1823 Fund.
• Tell others how important RI is to you.
